Description

In June and July 2016 Green planet NGO provided an ecological camp "Baltic Investigators" for students interested in environment and nature conservation. The camp was organized in Kaliningrad region, at Primorye village, at the Baltic coast. There were altogether four groups of students who visited the camp and participated in the training, each for one week.

Benefits

The program of the ecological camp included both an educational part and actions to clean-up the Baltic coast to offer the students both theoretical knowledge and concrete examples. During trainings students explored the environment and different ecosystems (Baltic Sea, freshwater bodies, forest, meadow), and discussed the different ways of protection and sustainable development of coastal areas. As a concrete action, each group also participated in action to clean up the garbage from the beach.
