Volunteer oil spill containment troops

Description

The two-day training included teaching of theory as well as practical exercises. The volunteer participants were staff members of Turku Energia and the City of Turku.

Benefits

The training increased staff's knowledge concerning the oil spill risks in Turku Archipelago area, as well as improved the preparation for possible emergency situations. All participants were willing to give their contact information in case of the oil spill accidents. 

Background information

The voluntary training was part of the Turku Energia's Baltic Sea Challenge actions.
